Located in Balmumcu, Istanbul, KMP House is a 320-square-metre apartment overlooking the Bosphorus and the city skyline. Although newly built, the residence required a complete spatial and material transformation. Fragmented living areas were reconfigured into a fluid, interconnected layout, with boundaries defined through furniture and material transitions rather than fixed partitions.
Designed for both everyday family life and social gatherings, the shared spaces integrate seating, dining, and bar functions within a warm, contemporary setting. The concept combines the comfort of a luxury hotel with the intimacy of a private home.
A refined palette of large-format porcelain, light-toned timber, natural stone, and warm neutral finishes creates a sense of understated luxury. Bespoke storage and bar elements act as functional focal points, while a carefully curated art collection adds depth and cultural character, completing the interior’s distinctive identity.
