Nezih Buyaka AVM, which is the second highest square meter store within the growth and restructuring efforts of Nezih Kitabevi Kırtasiye, is a store with double entrances and all sales categories on a single floor. The vault counter with a volumetric design, which includes video screens that are inviting especially for children’s customers, is positioned in the middle of the store. In this way, the counter can be easily perceived from every corner of the interior and from the outside. As a general design concept, the principle of using raw / unprocessed materials and blending them with the strong corporate colors of decent, yellow and gray is adopted.
Steel profiles of different sizes, which are frequently encountered in decoration, were used behind the cash desk to help perceive the depth of the store, and were used as a space determinant and limiter in the reading corner and textbook sections. Natural looking wood has been used in the store shelves and vertical panels, and a feeling of warmth has been provided in the general perception. By using high quality linoleum material on the floors uninterruptedly, the perception of clear space in the store has been increased and a homogeneous effect has been achieved. A fun atmosphere that appeals to children’s perception is created by applying 3 different colors of the same material as a grid on the floor of children’s books.
